Five things you can do now to comply with UW–Madison’s branding standards
Call us. University Communications can help you successfully implement the brand and visual identity system, and we’re happy to field questions, listen to concerns, or brainstorm ways to address your unique needs.
Make the switch. We’ll provide at no charge a redesigned W crest logo that you can use for both print and electronic/online materials. The easiest first step to implement the visual identity is having your web staff substitute the official logo within your current web pages.
Don’t pitch. Yes, we have a visual identity that we’d like you to use with your communications as soon as possible. But that doesn’t mean we expect or encourage you to discard existing materials. First use up your supply of printed materials in support of our campuswide efforts in sustainability.
Start planning now. Don’t wait until materials run out or you have a new website going live tomorrow. Charge your communications staff with developing a plan for the UW–Madison brand and visual identity system now.
Spread the word. We can’t reach everyone, so help us out by telling your alumni groups, your student organizations, and your vendors about the UW–Madison brand and visual identity and how they can work within the brand and visual guidelines.
