Logo and graphic identity guidelines Stationery
A strong institutional identity requires clearly branded collateral materials. Stationery is a key component in expressing the brand identity of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Letterhead, envelopes and business cards are often the first introduction of the university to a wide constituency.
University Communications developed this stationery for use by all groups that are part of UWMadison. Departments, schools, colleges and other units can show their affiliation with UWMadison through consistent use of the official stationery. University Communications will prepare letterhead, envelopes and business cards free of charge. Printing of letterhead and envelopes will be coordinated at UW-Madison Printing Services.
Stationery may be ordered online. If you have questions about ordering stationery, please contact Doug DeRosa, 262-2136, or email dpderosa@wisc.edu.
Letterhead
The three-color logo appears in the top center of the letterhead. Please note that the entire logo (shield and wordmark) should be used in this application. Other logos, including campus and unit marks, cannot appear on official university stationery. The college, school, department or other unit name should appear on the bottom center of the letterhead. All contact information, including address, phone, fax and Web information, should appear on the bottom of the page. Two-color letterhead is also available.
Envelopes
The logo appears in two colors in the upper left corner, with the college, school, department or unit name and address to the right of it.
Business cards
The logo appears in two colors at the left. At the top right is the individual's name in bold type and his or her title and college, school, department or unit name in smaller type. All contact information appears below this. A three-color version is also available at an additional expense.
